What You Should Do If You Have A Wasp Nest Inside Your House
A wasp nest anywhere can be a nuisance, but if you have found one inside your house, it's definitely a problem. If you've heard buzzing about or seen wasps inside your house, you need to take action before the nest gets any larger, or someone in your household gets stung by these pests. Wasps can sting multiple times, unlike bees, which can only sting you once. Because they can sting you several times, they are a more dangerous pest. If you have found that you have a nest inside your house, it's best to call a pest control company to help you get rid of it to prevent injuries. Read on for other things you can do to help.
Close Off The Room They Are Located In
If possible, try to close off the room in which the nest is located. If they are in a bedroom, for instance, close the door and seal it to prevent these pests from getting any further into your home. Seal the vent in the room if you can to prevent them from getting into the rest of your home. You don't want them to make a new nest anywhere else in your home, and you don't want them to get loose into the rest of your home, where you may be stung.
Figure Out Where The Nest Is Located
If you can get close enough to these pests without getting stung, find out where the nest is located. If you can find the nest, you may be able to spray the nest and get rid of it before it gets too large. If you see that you have a large nest with a lot of wasps, don't go near it. Leave this to a professional. If you only have a handful of wasps, and it's still a small nest, you may be able to wait until dark and spray the nest. Be careful when using any type of pesticide inside of your home though. Make sure you ventilate your house before you spray the pesticide.
If you have a wasp nest in your home, it can be dangerous. These pests are a nuisance, even when outside, but when they are inside, they may be a little more agitated. Call a professional pest control company to get rid of the nest and the wasps for you and to figure out how they got in in the first place to prevent them from returning.
